Grayson Gibbs, a junior at AIS, won Atlanta Magazine's essay contest for high school students. His article entitled, Working Together, was featured in the February issue of Atlanta Magazine. The magazine asked for essays answering how Shirley Frankin's success as mayor reflects on this year's presidential election. Gibbs won a $200 prize and a $500 donation to the AIS library.
